What Comics To Watch For On Wednesday, 02/12

Hi, welcome to our weekly post where we tell you “What Comics to Watch For On Wednesday.”  We are doing our best to recommend a few titles worth your time this week.  It is good to note that we rarely suggest mid-run titles, because we try to provide good jumping on points or oddities that must be seen to believe.  This week is freaking insane with 11 TITLES!  Buckle up, because it is going to be crazy.

This week’s offerings:

Revolutionary War:Death’s Head II #1

Everybody likes Death’s Head II.  Here, it looks like he is fighting Death’s Head.  British superheroes…LOL!

Ms. Marvel #1

Ms. Marvel embarks on a totally different type of comic book.  Let’s see if it lives up to the hype.  Letter from the editor: This came out on the 5th.

City: The Mind In The Machine #1

This IDW title looks like a version of Charles Soule’s “Strange Attractors” with a more human slant.  Here at Comical Musings, we like people that communicate with cities.  Just ask Jack Hawksmoor.

Avengers #26 NOW

Every week, there is one comic that has a killer tagline that sucks me in…

“ADAPT OR DIE”

The science war overtakes the world(s).

The All-New Avengers Strike Back!

All the answers to the questions you wished remained hidden.

The collision of Avengers and New Avengers is imminent.

That’ll do, pig…that’ll do.

Batman #28

Wonder what villain will be in this issue of Batman…  Let’s see what Scott Snyder does with one of my favorites.

JL 3000 #3

These comics are weird, have a body count, and are drawn beautifully.  This series is so kooky and yet, I am interested to see where it goes next.  “JL 3000 in prison” is rather compelling.

She-Hulk #1

I liked the first She-Hulk.  It was an Ally McBeal style romp through super hero-lawyering.  This series better have Awesome Andy in it!

Mercenary Sea #1

The art style in this is compelling and you needed a new non-mainstream darling to love, right?

Winter Soldier: Bitter March #1

1960’s spy action with a Cold War twist.  Winter Soldier is being drawn beautifully and helmed by Rick Remender…what could go wrong?  I could see this as an Ifanboy POTW…if Josh is picking.

The Walking Dead #121

All Out War is in full swing.  Are you caught up?

Superior Spider-Man #27

This might be the end for Otto.  How will he fare against an old friend that is now his greatest nemesis.  “Goblin Nation” kicks off here!

Thor: God Of Thunder #19

Old King Thor versus Galactus.  My popcorn is at the ready.
