What Comics To Watch For On Wednesday, 9/04

Hi, welcome to our weekly post where we tell you “What Comics to Watch For On Wednesday.”  We are doing our best to recommend a few titles worth your time this week.  It is good to note that we rarely suggest mid-run titles, because we try to provide good jumping on points or oddities that must be seen to believe.

GRODD

Ifanboy has discontinued their day to day website activities in an effort to scale back their operations.  This means that we will no longer be able to utilize their avg community ratings to grade our last week’s selection.  I’m actively seeking an alternative.

Taste

Now to this week’s offerings:

Every issue is a #1 in this special “#1s Edition!”

DC Versus The Masters Of The Universe #1

If you are a late 20-something, early 30-something, you know who Man-At-Arms is and you had a Cringer/Battlecat toy.  He-Man is a cultural, albeit weird, icon in toys and cartoons.  Put that up against Batman and Superman and “game-on!”

DC Vs. Masters of the universe 1

X-Men Battle Of The Atom #1

It all starts here!  Old X-Men, New X-Men, and just X-Men oh my!

Battle Of The Atom 1

The Mocking Dead #1

Famous funny guy Fred Van Lente is a god to indie comics and if he’s taking a shot at the the decade-old Walking Dead franchise, I’ll be waiting with the rimshot.

Mocking Dead 1

Forever Evil #1

I didn’t care about Trinity War, whatsoever, but I read the last half of the latest issue of Justice League and it has me excited for Forever Evil #1!  Spoiler (HIGHLIGHT FOR TEXT): Everyone is gonna’ die by villains!!!
