Hey everybody. It’s been awhile. About 4 months, actually. Comical Musings has been so absent for so long. We have all been in seasons of life where we haven’t had time to write/analyze anything, let alone read any comics. Work, school, concerts, kids, church, robots, acrobatics, and the like have been holding all of us hostage from spending time with you the reader and for that, we can honestly say that we are bummed. Until Michio Kaku invents a time machine and Hal physically assaults him for doing so, we just haven’t had enough time in the day. All of us have been feeling pretty creatively stifled, but some of us have found our own paths. It is the goal of this re-emergence to inform you of these creative outpourings. So, it goes like this:
Shea has become some kind of big deal…
His posts at his other blog, This Is Infamous have been getting him recognized and more famous than he used to be. He’s gone from bills to billboards…from grams to Grammys. In fact, he is going to be the youngest person to have ever been published by Image comics when he begins writing essays and back matter for Joe Keatinge’s “Shutter.” Forget infamous, Shea is getting famous.
JK Leo is authoring stuff up…
You may not know this about JK Leo, but he is a trained and talented writer, currently pursuing greater academic accolades. He also has a comic book called “Dead Mage” that he is beginning to crowd-fund this week that you should check out. He also is writing a book with real agents and everything called “Empty Yellow Sun.” All of those things will hopefully be ready for purchase whether advance for kickstarting, or post-development soon.
So anyways, we are so proud of our little boys as they’re all growed up. We miss you, but there are some ways to connect with some of your favorite bloggers if you so desire. Also, when we drink wine and dream dreams, we often see a relaunch of CM soon…so there is that. Until we bring our imagination to life…
