Hi, welcome to our weekly post where we tell you “What Comics to Watch For On Wednesday.” We are doing our best to recommend a few titles worth your time this week. It is good to note that we rarely suggest mid-run titles, because we try to provide good jumping on points or oddities that must be seen to believe.
This week’s offerings:
Unwritten Volume 2 Apocalypse #1
The second volume of this popular Vertigo series starts here.
FF #16
The last issue of Fraction and Allred’s killer FF run! If you have been having fun with this series all of the way through, grab this issue to cap the run and complete your collection. If you missed FF, grab #16 and work your way back. Amusing series with great art.
Walking Dead #120
Many considered the cliffhanger ending to issue #119 to be the first exciting thing that has happened in The Walking Dead for this whole “All Out War” story line. We will see where it all goes, but this issue seems like it is going to come with a bodycount.
Wonder Woman #27
The solicitation reads:
Diana returns to Paradise Island for the first time since the Amazons were wiped out…but do those ancient stones hold the answers she’s looking for?
That’s an interesting story. The exiled princess of the Amazons is now the god of war and returning to her destroyed homeland.
Avengers #25
The past Avengers come through to the future, All-New X-Men style. Wacky shenanigans are sure to ensue, because that is Hickman’s style…
Mind Mgmt #18
I haven’t even finished volume 1 of Mind Mgmt but any comics that feature a character named Ella The Animal Kid deserves a spot on this list.
Hawkeye #16
Hawkeye comics are good comics. This issue is a part of a series and as a fan of comics…you know that you have to collect all of the issues in a series, because you are a “compulsive completionist.”
