Hi, welcome to our weekly post where we tell you “What Comics to Watch For On Wednesday.” We are doing our best to recommend a few titles worth your time this week. It is good to note that we rarely suggest mid-run titles, because we try to provide good jumping on points or oddities that must be seen to believe.
This week’s offerings:
Thor God Of Thunder #14
The last two issues have been some of the best comic book experiences that I have had this year. I like Thor…it’s weird to say, but I…like…Thor… Jump on before you get hammered by the war chariot!
Manhattan Projects #15
“Finite Oppenheimers” was greatness in all of it’s horse-punching, color washed glory. As the Civil War of the mind rages on, which side will prevail?!
Chew #37
Chew is getting serious. Come read this issue and watch Tony eat a piece of a family member!
America’s Got Powers #7
Is this series going to end? Is this the last issue? When it’s over, will anyone care? Issue #7 concludes a controversial series.
Superman Wonder Woman #1
Wonder Woman and Superman are a thing now and so is Charles Soule. He has been spinning straw into gold at DC Comics and when paired with Tony Daniel, this series should be no different.
Three #1
Three slaves versus the Spartan army. Three slaves versus 300 of the greatest soldiers that ever lived. Eat your heart out Zack Snyder! Image comics brings this tale to life with vigor. Kieron Gillen seems to be cooking up something special…
Walking Dead #115
“All Out War” breaks out, in many cities, tonight at midnight with late night releases at many local comic book stores. The tenth anniversary of Walking Dead promises to start out with a bang!
Astro City #5
I don’t even know what is going on with Astro City this month, but I will still refer it with reckless abandon. Buy this.
Pathfinder #9
This comic book has never been featured in a WCTWFOW post, but we love it’s writer, Jim Zub and Tim Jenkins tells me it’s glorious. No time to start reading a good comic book like the present…
